I can’t remember why I originally hiked a section of the PCT in my summer after college but it was love at first sight. Something about the beauty and freedom. A long six years later, I kept the promise I’d made to myself to walk its entire length before turning 30. The trip fulfilled the desires fueling my long held aspiration and yet was not the experience I had expected.
